Dr Deb Robinson – “So concussion is a very brief interruption of the normal function of the brain which happens usually because of it either a direct blow to the head”
Dr Deb Robinson – “Or a direct blow to somewhere else on your body the signs and symptoms can be very varied so they can involve very typical things that we understand like”
Dr Deb Robison – “Full concentration or sensitivity to light or noise. Sports people can be more irritable they can have poor sleep they can struggle with balance and”
Dr Deb Robinson – “Coordination most important message we want to give to people is they need to be checked out so it's an it's important that somebody else makes that diagnosis for you.”
Dr Deb Robinson – “In New Zealand the the group of people that need to see you are your GP or another doctor so in an accident an emergency clinic that the GPS are the best people”
Dr Deb Robinson – “So it's not a diagnosis you can make at home, you need to be seen by a doctor”
