Transitioning claims to the new Sensitive Claims Service
The Sensitive Claims Service went live on 1 December 2024 and has now been live for 10 weeks.
We have a transition period from 1 December 2024 until 31 May 2025 to allow for kiritaki (clients) to be transitioned from the Integrated Services for Sensitive Claims (ISSC) to the new Sensitive Claims Service contract at their next check-in or reporting point.
This is to ensure continuity of care and a positive experience through the transition period by managing the flow of kiritaki over to the new service.
About purchase orders expiring on 31 May 2025
If your purchase orders expires on Saturday 31 May 2025, you must transition your kiritaki before that purchase order expires.
Where the kiritaki is in Support to Wellbeing Long Term, the natural transition point is either at their:
- next scheduled case conference, or
- Progress Report.
Instead of a case conference or Progress Report, you will prepare and submit a new Wellbeing Plan (on a Sensitive Claims Service template) to initiate transition to the new contract.
Where the needs of the kiritaki require earlier transition than either of these two points, the lead service provider can initiate transition through a new Wellbeing Plan. This provides the flexibility for lead service providers to manage their caseloads and plan for transition points for each of their kiritaki based on their needs.
All kiritaki under the ISSC contract, must either be transitioned to the new Sensitive Claims Service, or complete services before Saturday 31 May 2025. No new purchase orders or amendments to purchase orders under the ISSC can be made after 31 May 2025.
