Transcript
Casey – “To be honest, I could have faster and I would have cleared the jump and nothing would have happened and that would have made life easy. But I didn’t, so I have to it and it’s just one of those accidents.”
Casey – “How did you process what has happened?”
Casey – “I was very very sad. I think the more people tell me what’s wrong with me makes me more determined to prove them wrong and to prove it to myself that I can do it and you can get what you want if you try hard enough."

Casey – “Who has been your biggest support and how important has their support been?”
Casey – “My partner has been there every step of the way. He is amazing. Just helping me, taking the piss out of me, making me feel still normal. And my family, they don’t leave me out. They just treat me exactly the same and rip into me so I feel part of the family still.”

Casey – “How does life now contrast on what you are anticipating and would like it to be”
Casey – “Life is total different to what I thought. Like, I did not think it would be this hard. I don’t google anymore. I just have my own goals and I set them and achieve what I’m achieving. And I am achieving what I’m setting out and everything is going really well but I just guess I thought it was going to be way easier and I though, you know, you just break your back, you can walk but you need to learn to be patient”

Transcript
Casey – “What do I still have to do and look forward to in life?”
Casey – “I have a long way to go and I’m not going to give up. Being in a wheelchair is not my life plan. I have so many things I need to do and want to do and I want to do them standing up and running around with my kids and everything that I’ve got planned for, I want to be doing 110 percent.”
Casey – “I want to be able to help people with spinal cord injuries to achieve their goals. I am so determined so I know there’s no way I’m going to give up because I have to do it for myself and I just need to be more patient and not get angry and believe that what I’m doing is going to get me there. Thank you very much.”
