About the Pasifika Advisory Panel
The story of Pasifika peoples in Aotearoa continues to evolve. We want Pasifika to engage with ACC when they need us, but we know there are barriers that exist. To change this, we’re embarking on a journey to do a better job of serving Aotearoa’s unique and diverse Pasifika communities.
The Pasifika Advisory Panel exists to help ACC achieve that goal. The panel will support ACC’s strategic direction, development, and delivery of services for Pasifika. It will help ensure services are accessible and equitable for Pasifika fanau and communities in Aotearoa.
Their collective expertise will contribute to our ability to support Pasifika fanau by:
- enabling Pasifika to access their full entitlement of support, service, and independence
- engaging Pasifika in culturally responsive and respectful ways, and
- sharing, advocating and promoting Pasifika culture as a source of innovation and creativity at ACC.
Our Pasifika Advisory Panel members represent a range of organisations and individuals. Members are selected to advise and advocate the aspirations of Pasifika and their fanau.
