ACC wins Future of Work award

ACC team members with the Future of Work award at the NZ HR Awards.

ACC has been recognised for its approach to hybrid working by taking out the Future of Work category at the NZ HR Awards, which recognise excellence in the human resources community.

Winning this award is great recognition of our hybrid working approach – which includes where we work, how we work and when we work – and our commitment to supporting our people to work in a way that works for them and the customers they care for.

We’re committed to being a diverse and inclusive organisation that represents the people of Aotearoa. We know that taking a more flexible approach is better for our people, their wellbeing, their whānau, and our customers.

Our Chief Executive Megan Main attended the awards ceremony in Auckland and was proud to receive the award.

“Our rapid adaptation to support our people to work remotely during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic was a fundamental shift to the way we work,” she says.

“We saw the benefits of a more flexible approach for both our people and our customers.”

ACC on a mission

Michael Frampton, Deputy Chief Executive People and Culture, says our approach to hybrid working is part of a wider mission.

“It’s a mission to enable even safer and more resilient communities. To do more and better for Māori and other historically under-served populations,” he says.

“It’s also a mission to ensure the sustainability of ACC for our next 50 years. We know that when our people work better, the work they do – toward that mission – is better.”

This award is confirmation that our approach to hybrid working is the future of work, and flexible working will continue to be an integral part of working here at ACC.
