Warning about spam emails from ACC and government addresses

Do not click on any links or attachments in suspicious emails.


We've been made aware of an email phishing scam that has the potential to compromise users' email accounts.

The spam emails look like the following and may appear to come from a legitimate @govt.nz or @co.nz email address.

Under no circumstances should you click on the link in an email like this:

The spam email attempts to get people to migrate to the new 2020 Microsoft Outlook Web Professional Plus

If you get an email like this, do not click on any links or attachments.

As soon as we became aware of the emails, we took action to stop more of them being sent.

Members of the public can contact Cert NZ to report a cybersecurity problem.
