Following an open procurement process, we’re pleased to announce the appointment of six mātanga rongoā (rongoā experts) to our Rongoā Māori Advisory Panel.

Selected from a pool of very strong applicants, the following have been appointed to the panel:

  • Hone Ratana (Ngāti Pikiao, Ngāti Awa) – Kaumātua
  • Robyn Richardson (Ngāti Tuwharetoa, Ngāti Hauiti ki Rātā, Ngāti Raukawa, Ngāti Tukorehe)
  • Donna Kerridge (Ngāti Tahinga, Ngāti Mahuta)
  • Ruatau Perez (Tūhoe, Ngāpuhi)
  • Jolie Davis (Ngāti Kuri, Te Rarawa)
  • Awhitia Mihaere (Ngāti Kahungunu)

Over the one-year term, our panel will provide their expertise to guide the evolution of our rongoā Māori service and contribute to our aspirations for whānau to thrive.
