We’re pleased to announce new and reappointed members of the ACC Rongoā Māori Advisory panel, who are joining us for a two-year term.

We’re pleased to announce new and reappointed members of the ACC Rongoā Māori Advisory panel, who are joining us for a two-year term. 

Nau mai, haere mai Tohe Ashby (Ngāti Hine, Ngāti Rāhiri, Ngāti Kawa) to the role of panel kaumātua. Matua Tohe is a well-respected mātanga rongoā (rongoā expert) from Te Tai Tokerau, where he has been involved in community health and education for more than four decades.

Nau mai, hoki mai to our five returning panel members, who are all mātanga rongoā with deep mātauranga rongoā (rongoā knowledge).

Our Rongoā Māori Advisory panel:

• Tohe Ashby (Ngāti Hine, Ngāti Rāhiri, Ngāti Kawa) – Kaumātua
• Awhitia Mihaere (Ngāti Kahungunu) – Chair
• Robyn Richardson (Ngāti Tūwharetoa, Ngāti Hauiti ki Rātā, Ngāti Raukawa, Ngāti Tukorehe)
• Donna Kerridge (Ngāti Tahinga, Ngāti Mahuta)
• Ruatau Perez (Ngāi Tūhoe, Ngāpuhi)
• Jolie Davis (Ngāti Kurī, Te Rarawa)

Our panel will share their expertise to guide the growth of our rongoā Māori service to continue to support whānau in their recovery journey.
